They’re not kidding calling this place Sun Hills because you best be wearing your sunscreen when it’s bluebird outside. Sitting inside an amphitheater of the Wasatch mountains and standing alone atop one of the massive Utah foothills this course has some of the best views in the the Wasatch Valley Undulating terrain is a common theme among Utah golf courses and is the highlight of the terrain here with few trees to lose your ball. The course winds in and out of the highs and lows of the davis county foothills making for some epic downhill tee shots. Even though there’s not tress galore, there’s plenty of wild grass to make you search for that sliced snitch. Like any course on top of a hill with few trees the winds can dictate how you play your round. most fairways sit in the valleys so any shots that get too adventurous will force your to play the irons in some uneven terrain. But the only real knock on this course might be the small whiff of landfill nearby (sorry, can’t ignore it).
